Thank you, Lord, for:
Perfect vacation weather!
Subways & walking
My hubby cleaned the bathroom and kitchen and cooked for the boys while I was gone. :)
Home and family
"My grandmother never went out and purchased a new hat to combat the blahs. Money didn’t grow on sassafras bushes; and, besides, she preferred a sunbonnet. But, oh yes, she had a cure. “Let’s do “something impulsive!” she used to say. “Let’s go for a tramp in the woods. . . .”
When we’d come home we’d do an impulsive deed for a neighbor. Today, I looked back and tried to recall some of the things we did—because they’re exactly what I plan to do!
• Write a letter when it’s not your turn!
• Call somebody you haven’t heard from in years;
• Make a batch of cookies and take them to a shut-in; and
• Go out and look for a stranger to smile at!
