Cannabis Herbal Oil

Cannabis herbal oil is effective for:

  • sprains
  • arthritis
  • buises
  • sore, tired muscles
  • reducing inflammation
  • headaches
  • gout
  • skin healing
  • anxiety
  • sleep

Directions:

  • Fill a glass jar 3/4 full with these hemp buds.  
  • Fill the jar the rest of the way with olive, sunflower or almond oil.
  • Close lid tightly, label lid and jar with contents and date
  • Store in a warm, sunny place for 4-6 weeks.  Feel free to shake every so often
  • At the end of 4-6 weeks, strain herbs and bottle the oil, preferably in an amber glass bottle and store in a dark, cool cupboard.

To Use:

  • Apply generously to bruises, burns, sprains, sore and achy joints and muscles.

 

 

Optional:  

Make this herbal oil into a salve

Directions:

  • In a double broiler (I use a glass jar, inside a pot of simmering water),  warm oil
  • add 3 Tbsps of beeswax pellets to every cup of oil
  • pour into a salve container and let cool 

Peppermint Herb & Essential Oil

I gotta say that peppermint is one of my favorite essential oils!!  Some of my sweet friends would say, "yeah, yeah, you say that about everything you use" (and especially about the exercises I put you through;0)

But, seriously, I think that peppermint is my most used oil!  It is invigorating!  For sure! And it really opens my airways!  I always take a drop before I go in to teach class. Besides giving me fantastic breath, right ladies?!?!;0), it helps me to breathe and gives me a little extra boost of energy!

Here's some stuff you might not have known about peppermint: 

  • Astringent
  • Expectorant
  • Antiseptic
  • Antispasmodic
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Anti-parasitic
  • Stimulant
  • Antiviral
  • Antibacterial
  • Anti-carcinogenic
  • Analgesic

 

Sounds good, huh?! :) 

During my boys' high school basketball season, during the winter, mind you, it is SO hot in the gym!  Especially against a rival school when the gym is jam packed!  So, being the resourceful women we are, my sweet friends and I (thanks, LaMarr and Tamara) pulled out our peppermint oil, dabbed it on our temples, the back of our neck and our tongues!   Voila!  We were feeling cooler!  (Sadly, though, I rubbed my eye one time and oooh, that's not pleasant!  Keep essential oils out of your eyes!!!! )

When my mother-in-law was newly recovering from her liver transplant and was on a lot of meds, she was extremely itchy!    Applying peppermint, topically, finally gave her relief!  It was the only thing that helped!

How to use it:

As with any remedy, natural or otherwise, please use caution:  Peppermint has a strong cooling sensation.  Do not use with infants.  Use with care during pregnancy.  If in doubt, consult your physician.

    • Breathe the aroma 
    • Take it orally -- a drop or two in a shot of water or a drop directly on your tongue (but make sure you only get one drop!  It's potent!)
    • Apply it topically either by itself or in equal portions with a carrier oil such as almond oil.
    • I use fresh or dried Peppermint leaves in my Thieves Vinegar 

 

  • Because peppermint essential oil has become quite popular, it is mass produced.  Be cautious when buying Peppermint essential oil that is from a high volume production process which cuts quality and purity to reduce expense.  Low cost frequently, though not always, means lower quality.    To get more info, please contact me, or to ORDER the brand that I use and highly recommend, click here:
