Red Clover is an alterative herb. This means that it alters the way the body reacts to stress - emotional, physical or environmental - helping the body and mind to stay calm.  

Red Clover has been considered one of nature's best supplements!!

Red Clover is high in:

  • 2 parts dried chaste tree berries 
  • 2 parts dried dandelion leaves 
  • 2 parts dried red clover blossoms 
  • 1 part dried nettle leaves 
  • 1 part dried holy basil (tulsi)  
  • 1 part Lemon balm

Hormone Balancing Tea

  1. Slightly crush the chaste tree berries in a food processor or a mortar and pestle.  
  2. Combine the herbs and place them in a 1-quart glass jar or in a tea ball.
  3. Pour boiling water over them to fill the mug or jar.
  4. Steep for 12 to 15 minutes.
  5. Strain
  6. Drink 1 to 3 cups daily   
  7. Start drinking this tea several days before your PMS symptoms are expected and continuing through the first day or two of menstruation.***

Cleansing & Detox Vinegar

Equal part:

  • burdock root,
  • yellow dock root
  • dandelion root
  • dandelion leaves
  • red clover blossoms
  • calendula flowers
  • mint, minced
  • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup vodka or brandy
  1. Put above ingredients in a jar and let infuse for 4-6 week
  2. Strain and re-bottl
  3. Consume twice daily or as needed to see results

Along with the elimination of potential allergens, the consistent use of this vinegar, a healthy balanced diet and stress management :)) there is hope for relief!!!

Red Clover Whipped Lotion

Yields 2 to 3 cups

  • 1 cup fresh red clover blossoms
  • 1 cup cocoa butter
  • 1 to 2 cups distilled water or rose water
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons jojoba or sweet almond oil (optional)

Make a tiny batch of this lotion at a time, perhaps for special occasions when you want your 

face to glow. It’s extremely rich and, depending on how much water you add, can be dense or 

light as a cloud.

  1. Place the herbs and cocoa butter in a bowl.
  2. Without heating, use a spoon to mix the blossoms into the cocoa butter.
  3. Cover and store in a dark cabinet or pantry.
  4. Steep for two weeks.
  5. In the top of a double boiler, gently heat the cocoa butter just until you can strain out the blossoms.
  6. Discard them and pour the melted cocoa butter into a deep soup pot (this is to reduce splattering).
  7. Using a wire whisk or an electric hand mixer, slowly add the distilled water by the tablespoonful, whisking constantly, until you have the desired consistency.
  8. Add the oil if  desired, and whisk together. Scrape the lotion into a small container.

This lotion lasts several weeks when refrigerated.”***

**Caution:  Red clover has blood-thinning properties and should not be used by those who are 

taking heart medication or who have any type of blood-thinning problem. Discontinue red clover 

for 2 weeks before and after surgery.

Oat straw tea is one of my favorites!!

  • Heat water on the stove, not the microwave
  • fill tea ball (see below) with oatstraw
  • pour hot water over tea ball
  • cover and let steep for 10-15 minutes
  • sweeten with stevia or raw honey
  • serve warm or make a big batch and keep in the fridge -- serve over ice! :)

Lavender Angustifolia is most widely known for it's calming and sedative properties. However, it's benefits reach far beyond the scope of emotional support. 

Lavender is absolutely great to calm stressful nerves, help bring sleep and rest to the restless and improve the peace of mind of those with anxiety.  It is also antidepressant.  Though it seems that anxiety and depression might be opposites, they frequently go hand in hand.   

Since lavender is one of the most popular and most used essential oils, it must have some other properties as well. And sure enough it does!

Lavender is:

  • analgesic: it is an excellent pain reliever!   it's wonderful on burns, blisters, boils, insect and bug bites, bee stings, cuts, diabetic sores, chicken pox,...
  • antihistamine: it is effective for allergies.     
  • anti fungal: it is effective for dandruff, diaper rash, cradle cap, itching,...
  • regenerative: it is effective for poison ivy, rashes, scars & wrinkles!!  Woohoo!:)
  • sedative: it is effective for anxiety, stress, insomnia, depression, pms, menopause and mood swings!   Can I get another "Woohoo!" :)


  • A couple of drops on wool dryer balls in my dryer and my laundry smells fabulous!  Great with sheets for a restful sleep -- Thanks, Robbie! :0)
  • I use it on my face daily, under my eyes and on trouble spots -- be sure to keep it out of the eye!
  • I use it in my essential oil deoderant blend -- and then I smell great! ;)
  • When stressed or anxious, put a dab on the temples, neck and wrists and breathe deeply 
  • Diffuse it in the air for aromatherapy
  • Awesome for burns!!  Put a dab directly on the burn and it should soothe
  • Helps scars to heal and fade!
