Starting A Garden

I dig spring time!! (Pun intended:0))   I love to be outside and I love to have purpose!  Gardening meets those two loves! :) 

The key to a healthy garden is good soil!  Deep, well-dug, mulched and fertilized!  

No matter how much space you have, starting a vegetable and/or herb garden is extremely rewarding!

At the end of this post you can see some books I highly recommend!!  They are what gave me the motivation to start my first garden.  I followed the directions, almost exactly, the first time, and the results were fantastic!!!  I don't follow the exact recipe nowadays, but I absolutely subscribe to the principles!

Juliette Tomato

Lemon Balm -- known as the "nerve balm," "cure-all" and "elixir of life"  I use this in my tea blend as well as my "Stay Focused" lemon balm glycerine tincture, my Elderberry Syrup and my Immunity Tincture

Lemon Thyme & Oregano -- I use both of these in my Thieves Vinegar

Calendula seeds beginning to pop up :)  Calendula flowers are a fantastic for the skin and lymphatic system.  They're estrogenic, anti-fungal, anti-viral,...!!!  I use these flowers in my skin cleanser, my immunity tea, my moisturizer and my Immunity Boosting Tincture.

Brandy Wine Heirloom Tomato -- (thanks, Vicki! :) -- my friend harvested the seeds from her amazing plant last year and started them in little pots to five away to her friends!)
